What's Happening Now

Hi friends,

Starting this month, you can now order prints of my artwork via email (lorstarnes@yahoo.com).

Also, please don't hesitate to leave comments, if the mood should hit you. This includes critiques of my work as well. Honestly, feedback is the only way that I know what I need to improve upon.

Nostalgia

I just finished this painting this morning!  It's a gentleman who is aging and reflecting on his life, perhaps with a little sadness, or perhaps appreciation for those who raised him and helped him along the way.  The photo didn't come out as clear as I'd hoped.  I'll take more photos and try to upload a better one.

Leah

This young lady is someone I worked with at a bakeshop and formed a friendship with. She just celebrated her 30th birthday, and I did this portrait for her as a gift. She posed for about an hour, then I completed it at home from photographs.

Public Garden

This painting is of a community garden that no longer exist downtown Charleston. I was so happy that I had chosen to paint it before it was destroyed. I added the people to make the painting feel as if this garden was really a cherished part of the community.

Pie vs. Dog

These next three are recent murals. I had a blast doing them. This mural features my sweet doggie, Duchess, who, to my knowledge, has actually never gone after a cherry pie.
